Fees & payouts

One fee: 5% on a completed sale

Escrowden charges sellers a flat 5% platform commission when an order completes, and charges buyers nothing at all. Your first three sales are free of it entirely. No listing fees, no subscription, no withdrawal charge, and nothing to pay if a listing never sells.

Who pays what

Two sides, one fee

Buyers pay nothing extra

Whatever the listing says is what leaves your wallet. The escrow hold is exactly the listed amount.

0%

Sellers pay on completion

Deducted from the escrow release when the buyer confirms. Never charged up front, and never charged on an order that does not complete.

Worked examples

What a seller actually receives

The commission is a straight percentage of the order total, so the maths does not change with order size. On your first three sales it is zero, and you receive the full amount.
Seller payout after the 5% platform commission, by order value
Buyer paysCommission (5%)Seller receives
$3.00−$0.15$2.85
$25.00−$1.25$23.75
$100.00−$5.00$95.00
$500.00−$25.00$475.00

Price your listings with the commission in mind

If you need $95.00 in hand, list at $100.00. Sellers who work backwards from their target payout tend to price more competitively than those who tack the fee on afterwards.

Payouts

How and when sellers get paid

Releases are not on a schedule and have no minimum. When a buyer confirms delivery, the escrow hold is released in the same action: the commission is deducted and the remainder lands in your wallet balance immediately.

That balance behaves like any other — you can spend it on the marketplace as a buyer straight away, and every movement is recorded on your ledger so holds, releases and payouts can be reconciled against specific orders.

Withdrawing it to your own payout method starts at $5. The amount leaves your balance when you request it, and each withdrawal is checked by a person before it is sent.

What you can see

  • Each order’s total, commission and net payout.
  • A running ledger of credits, debits, holds and releases.
  • Category totals and completed order revenue on your earnings page.

Questions

Fees FAQ

Is it really free for the first three sales?

Yes, and there is no catch to find. Your first three completed sales are charged no commission at all — you keep the full amount the buyer paid. It applies per seller, it never expires, and you do not have to ask for it or enter a code. From the fourth sale onward the normal 5% applies.

Do buyers pay any fee?

No. The price on the listing is the price you pay. There is no service fee, no processing fee and no escrow fee added at checkout.

When is the commission taken?

Only when an order completes. It is deducted from the escrow release at the moment the buyer confirms delivery, so you never pay anything up front.

Is there a fee to list?

No. Creating an account, getting verified and publishing listings are all free. Listings that never sell cost you nothing.

What happens to the commission if an order is disputed?

Nothing is taken while an order is disputed, because nothing has been released. The commission only applies to a completed release.
