Common questions
How does escrow work on Escrowden?
When you place an order the amount is moved from your wallet balance into an escrow hold. The seller can see the order is funded but cannot withdraw the money. It is released to them only when you confirm delivery.
What does Escrowden charge?
A 5% platform commission is deducted from the seller's payout when an order completes, and your first three sales are exempt from it entirely — it applies per seller, never expires, and needs no code. Buyers pay the listed price with nothing added at checkout.
How do I become a verified seller?
Open the Sell page and complete identity verification: your legal name, date of birth, a government document, and a selfie holding it. A reviewer checks it by hand, and once it is approved you can publish listings in any category.
Do I need to send photo ID?
Yes, if you want to sell. Every seller verifies with a government document — passport, driving licence or national ID card — and a selfie holding it before they can list or quote. You must be at least 18. Buying needs no ID at all.
How do I raise a dispute?
Open the order from the Orders page and choose to dispute it before confirming delivery. The escrow release is paused and the order is flagged for review.
How do I add funds to my wallet?
Use the Wallet page to deposit. Your balance funds escrow holds when you order, and receives seller payouts when your own sales complete.
