OSRS Quest Cape Service

The quest cape is the longest-running service in this category, because it is not one job — it is every remaining quest on your account, and what that adds up to depends entirely on where you are starting from. That makes accurate quoting the thing to get right before anything else.

The quote depends on your account, not the cape

Two players buying a quest cape can be buying wildly different amounts of work. Someone with a handful of quests left is buying an evening; someone starting from a fresh account is buying weeks, including the skill levels that the harder quests require behind them.

That is why a quest cape listing usually quotes a range, and why the seller will want to see your account's quest list and stats before committing. Give them that information up front in the order chat. A quote given without it will be revised later, and a revision after work has started is where disagreements come from.

Be honest about skill requirements too. Several late quests gate on levels that take real time to train, and if those are missing they are part of the job. A seller who quotes without knowing will find out mid-way through.

Timescales and staying informed

This is measured in days or weeks, not hours. Because the account is in someone else's hands for that long, agree how often you will get an update — a short message in the order chat at a sensible cadence is normal and reasonable to ask for.

Agree also when you can log in yourself. Long services usually involve some coordination around this, and having it settled beforehand avoids the situation where you log in to check progress and interrupt the seller mid-quest.

Access, and getting the account back

The seller needs your login for the duration. They do not need your registration email, and on a service this long that distinction matters more than usual — an account under someone else's control for two weeks is an account you want to be certain you can take back.

Bank what you cannot lose. Set the bank PIN. When the cape is done, log in, verify it yourself, change the password, and then confirm delivery. The escrow hold covers the whole booking for the whole job, so a seller who stops halfway does not get paid — provided you have not confirmed early.

Before you book a quest cape

  • Share your current quest list and stats before accepting a quote.
  • Confirm whether missing skill requirements are included in the price.
  • Agree an update cadence — this service runs for days or weeks.
  • Agree when you may log in yourself without disrupting the work.
  • Verify the cape yourself and change your password before confirming.

Worth knowing before you buy

Handing over account access breaches Jagex's terms of service, and a multi-week service means a long window where the account is not solely under your control. Escrow protects the payment side only.

Questions

Common questions

How long does a quest cape service take?

Days to weeks, depending entirely on how many quests you have left and whether the skill requirements behind them are already trained. There is no standard duration — the quote should come after the seller has seen your account.

Does the price include training skill requirements?

Sometimes, sometimes not. Establish it before accepting the quote. Several late quests gate on levels that take real time, and if those are missing they are a substantial part of the job.

Can I play my account while the service runs?

Agree it with the seller in the order chat first. Logging in unannounced during a multi-week job can interrupt a quest mid-way, so most sellers will want some coordination around it.

What if the seller stops partway through?

Do not confirm delivery. The escrow hold covers the whole booking, so an abandoned job means the seller has not been paid, and opening a dispute freezes the release pending review.
