OSRS gold

Buy 500M OSRS Gold

500M is where buying stops being about affording a piece of gear and starts being about not having to think about GP for a while. It is also the point where how you take delivery starts to matter, because a single half-billion trade is not an ordinary sight in game.

What 500M covers

At 500M you are shopping in the late-game bracket: several high-end upgrades at once rather than one at a time, a serious prayer and herblore push, or most of the way toward one of the cheaper raids items depending on the week. It is also enough to sit on a comfortable buffer while you learn a piece of content that has a death cost, which is what most people underestimate when they buy less.

It is worth being specific about what it does not reach. Twisted bow and scythe of vitur have both spent long stretches above this figure. If a single named item is the goal, check its current Grand Exchange price before deciding on the amount, because the gap between 500M and what that item costs can be most of another purchase.

Bulk pricing works differently

Price per 1M generally falls as quantity rises, because the seller's fixed costs — the payment rail, the time spent coordinating — are spread across more gold. A seller listing 500M+ in one block is usually quoting a lower rate per 1M than the same seller would for 50M.

That said, do not treat a low rate as automatically the best offer. A cheap listing from a seller with thin stock may mean several orders and several trades. Compare the total, the stock depth and the delivery window together.

Taking delivery of a large amount

The mechanics are the same as any other order — escrow hold, in-game trade, you confirm, seller gets paid — but at this size the coordination is worth doing properly. Agree the world and the location in the order chat before either of you logs in, and agree whether it is arriving in one trade or several.

Some sellers prefer to split large deliveries across two or three trades. That is a normal preference and not a red flag by itself, but it should be stated up front in the chat rather than introduced halfway through. Do not confirm delivery until the full amount is in your inventory — a partial delivery confirmed in good faith is very hard to unwind.

Everything agreed in the order chat stays attached to the order, which is exactly why the agreement belongs there rather than in a Discord message that no reviewer can see.

Before you order 500M

  • Confirm the seller holds the full amount — check stock on the listing, not just the price.
  • Agree in the order chat whether delivery is one trade or several, before anyone logs in.
  • Check the current price of whatever you are actually buying. 500M is a lot of GP and still not enough for some single items.
  • Set aside an uninterrupted window. Large deliveries are worse to rush.
  • Confirm only when the full amount has landed, not the first instalment.

Worth knowing before you buy

Real-world trading breaches Jagex's terms of service, and larger transfers are not less visible than small ones. Escrow secures the payment side of the deal; it has no bearing on how Jagex treats your account.

Questions

Common questions

Do I get a better rate buying 500M at once?

Usually, yes. Sellers spread their fixed costs across the quantity, so the price per 1M tends to fall as the block gets bigger. Compare listings on price per 1M rather than on the headline total.

Will 500M arrive in one trade?

Often, but some sellers prefer to split it. Either is fine — agree which it is in the order chat before you start, and only confirm delivery once the full amount has arrived.

Is buying a large amount riskier than a small one?

For your payment, no — escrow works the same at any size. For your game account, real-world trading breaches Jagex's rules regardless of amount, and that is the risk that does not change.

Can I split 500M across two accounts?

That is between you and the seller, and it means two deliveries to coordinate. Say so in the order chat up front so the seller can price and plan for it.
